Do you have many DJ's that work for you?
The answer is no! The multi DJ service companies have been having trouble with quality. A DJ shows up who is untrained and may be simply doing to make money. You may getting some guy working for $100. when your putting out Hundreds.
What happens if your sick?
Even with a broken leg I will be there. When I agree to do a wedding the wedding is the number one thing for the week. People say with the big companies they have someone who will cover. That may happen more than you know. Then you get some DJ 4 down the list. I know many independent DJ's, all more professional than any one on their list.
Do you provide music during cocktails or dinner?
Yes, I absolutely do. I will play anything you'd like me to, however I recommend some light background music that's upbeat enough so that it keeps your guests alert, not falling asleep.
Do you charge for setup and break-down?
No, I do not. Your contracted start time is the time I start playing music. For example if you contract me from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, I start your first song at 6:00 (usually earlier) and play our last song at around 11:00 (depending upon venue rules).
Do you bring backup equipment to the event?
Yes i do. I carry all my equipment to every event. You have access to more than any other DJ service. 6 speaker 3 mixers several amps ect. Everything I have has a backup. There that day at your event. The big companies do not come with that!
Do you use party props?
Some people like party props, and some don't. If you want party props at your event, I'll be more than happy to provide them for you. (When I use props, we don't over-use them, we use them "tastefully".)
How do you dress for our wedding?
I always wear a low key tuxedo. It's your day and I do not want to be the center of attention. If there is a time where you are dressing down I would wear a suit or what ever would make your wedding special.
Can we provide music for you to play?
Yes, however rarely do I get requests in advance that I don't already have, or can get. Either way, you are more than welcome to provide me with a CD with the music you'd like to hear. Remember 7600 cd's, more than any other DJ - compare.
What time do you arrive at the venue?
I arrive more than a hour before your start time. This may be longer for new event locations.
Are you available to stay later than the contracted time?
I never book more than one event per day. I can go as long as you need me based on availability of the room.
Do you take requests from our guests?
Typically yes, however the request must be appropriate and fit within your event. Your requests come first, and if you select a song for the do not play list, it will not be played, regardless if one of your guests requested it.
Are you comfortable providing DJ services for same-sex weddings and commitment ceremonies?
Yes I would be more than happy to share your special day with you. I am open minded to all lifestyles.
Do you supply a wireless(cordless) microphone?
Yes, I most certainly do. You and/or your guests can use it for toasts, blessings, or anything of the sort. I also always bring a second (corded) microphone which always stays with me. I have a total of 6 microphones.
Do you take breaks?
No I do not! You have me non - stop from the 1st song played.
When do we pay the balance?
The rate for this event includes a deposit which is to be submitted with this contract (deposit nonrefundable). The balance is due at the start of or prior to the completion of the event! The client is expected to pay the total pre-agreed rate. If you choose you may pay in advance.
Can we come and see you in action at a party or reception?
Unfortunately no. I do not feel it is appropriate to invite potential clients to my current clients' events. When I am at a wedding, I focus completely on the task at hand, and do not want to be sidetracked trying in "impress" potential clients. Also, since every client's tastes are different, you may view an event and think, "this DJ is not my style", when in reality, I may simply be complying with the wishes of that particular client.
